1000 Calorie Diet

Adele's 1000 calorie diet slammed by trainer Clean Eating Alice as 'not credible'

Adele 's dramatic weight loss revealed the singer lost a whopping total of seven stone.
Her flaming bod was achieved by eating a meagre 1000 calories per day - but the diet has since been slammed by Clean Eating Alice.
After Adele's personal trainer Camila Goodis, 36, "betrayed" the singer's trust and revealed her diet on Lorraine , Alice took to Twitter to condemn the move.
The Someone Like You singer followed the The Sirtfood diet, which means she ate foods high in sirtuin activators that can regulate your metabolism like green juice, strawberries, tumeric, olive oil and red onion.
Camila, who calls herself the Brazilian body wizard, said Adele's transformation is "90 percent diet".

Camila revealed: "She looks amazing - she's changed her lifestyle she changed diet. I believe now she's into working out, she's been working out more and more but is 90 per cent what she did is diet.
"There is no secret, I didn't help with any diet, She started doing The Sirtfood diet and now she's maintaining it and eating healthy.
"It's a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn't look too thin - she looks amazing."
But Clean Eating Alice - whose real name is Alice Liveing - hit out at the Pilates instructor, saying the weight loss had nothing to do with Camila.

In a stern tweet, Alice, 26, wrote: "For the record, no credible trainer would agree to their client eating only 1000kcals a day
"No credible trainer would suggest green juices to be the elixir of good health ... No credible trainer would/should share this confidential info for their own gain."
Alice also shared her two cents on Camila's decision to reveal Adele's diet secrets, tweeting: "I have trained celebrities in my time and when asked in interview about said clients, I have always remained silent because of client confidentiality, their privacy and the fact that that is their information to share, not mine."
But the Instagram star, who boasts an impressive 647k followers, didn't stop there.

In a third tweet, she wrote to her 50k followers: "These ‘so called’ celebrity trainers need to realise that putting someone on a 1000 calorie a day diet and an intense workout regime doesn’t make them a good trainer.
"It makes them the instigator of seriously disordered eating habits and the health repercussions that accompany it."
She added: "I’m not going to get on to Lorraine riding on the coat tails of a celebrity client.
"If I ever do get on TV it will be because I am a credible trainer in my own right and I don’t need to compromise their privacy to further my career."

It's claimed the songstress was spurred on by "not feeling great" and wanting to change something about her life following the breakdown of her marriage last year.
Adele apparently wanted to be healthier for her son Angelo, seven, whom she shares with her now-ex husband Simon Konecki.
A source told PEOPLE : "She got to the point where she didn't feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible."

What is the 'Sirtfood diet'? Here's the details behind the plan Adele is said to have lost 7 stone on

Adele has had an incredible body transformation after losing 'seven stone' by overhauling her lifestyle to get fit for her seven-year-old son Angelo.
It's believed the award-winning singer has the 'Sirtfood Diet' to credit for her weight loss, which encourages dieters to focus on eating 20 specific foods that switch on your so-called 'skinny genes'.
The plan allows you to consume treats like red wine, dark chocolate and coffee but is extremely limiting asking followers to consume only 1,000 calories during the first week with the second cycle being increased to 1,500.

The 'sirt' in the name of the diet comes from the word sirtuin, a class of proteins that can help boost your metabolism and reduce inflammation.
There's claims that the diet can help you lose seven pounds in the the first seven days, but as it runs on calorie deficit some experts have said this isn't brand new and must be followed carefully on the advice of your doctor.
In the first week you are restricted to just 1,000 calories per day with three Sirtfood green juices a day, a Sirtfood main meal and snacks of dark chocolate on the menu.

A recipe for the green juice is made up of key sirtfoods like kale, rocket, flat leaf parsley, lovage leaves, celery stalks, green apple, lemon juice, and matcha green tea.
The second phase of the diet comes when more calories are introduced and dieters can include more meals like stir fries, chicken and muesli for breakfast.

Established by UK nutritionists Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, who published a guide and a sell-out recipe book in 2016, it has seen other celebrities like Sir Ben Ainslie, Jodie Kidd and Loraine Pascale jump on board.
The creators claim following the Sirtfood plan can lead to rapid weight loss, but still maintain muscle mass and apparently protect you from chronic diseases.
Some experts say that a 1,000 calorie diet is extremely difficult to follow and have slammed it for promoting calorie restriction and 'unhealthy eating rules'.

McKenzie Caldwell who specialises in women's nutrition and pregnancy dietary wellness told Good Housekeeping: "Not only is this not enough energy to support an adult body, it is not possible to fit in all the macro- and micronutrients an adult needs in that amount of food…
"The diet may cause weight loss in the short term merely because of it's caloric restriction."
While Adele is yet to confirm she has followed the diet she did hire a personal trainer who has helped Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Fields get into shape with pilates.
The singer has been following a new diet and exercise regime
Los Angeles based personal trainer Camila Goodis said: "I trained Ayda for a long time and it happens that they are good friends so I did Adele when she was there in Robbie’s house.
“I don’t believe she liked exercise much but she has changed her lifestyle and I believe that 90 per cent was dieting.”

Her online biography says she uses 'a variety of Pilates and core strength training exercises'.
Revelation: 'She's working out but I think 90 per cent of it is diet,' 'Brazilian body wizard' Goodis told show host Lorraine Kelly
She recalled: 'When she came for a work out I didn't know it was her and when she left I thought 'Oh it looks a little bit like Adele'.
'She looks amazing - she's changed her lifestyle and diet.'
Speaking to The Sun in January, the fitness coach claimed the singer's weight loss is mostly down to dieting because she doesn't like exercise.
'I trained Ayda [Field] for a long time and it happens that they are good friends so I did Adele when she was there in Robbie's house,' she  said.
'I don't believe she liked exercise much but she has changed her lifestyle and I believe that 90 per cent was dieting.

The singer has wowed fans with her weight loss, which she first unveiled over Christmas and also showed off during a holiday to Anguilla with Harry Styles earlier this month.
It is believed the Rolling In The Deep hitmaker transformed her physique after a dietary overhaul but was inspired to do so for her son, Angelo, seven.
A source told People earlier this week: 'She got to the point where she didn't feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mum possible.
'Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better. It was never about losing weight.'

Lexi crossed paths with the singer at the Blanchards Restaurant and Beach Shack in Anguilla.
She said: 'She said she lost something like 100 pounds, and that it's such a crazy positive experience. She seemed so happy, and she looked amazing.'
The teenager said that the singer's weight loss was evident as she met her in the eatery.
Lexi added Adele did not want to take a picture with her as Angelo was present at the time, but did bring over Harry to chat to her group of pals in the restaurant.
She revealed that she and a group of pals spoke with the British stars for around 15 minutes and discussed college life and their future plans.
    WHAT IS THE SIRTFOOD DIET?
The Sirtfood Diet is based on sirtuins (SIRTs), a group of seven proteins
It focuses on plant foods which help to suppress appetite and activate the body's 'skinny gene'
Followers of the diet go through two diet cycles that last for three weeks
Recommended Sirtfoods include: Kale, red wine, strawberries, onions, soy and dark chocolate (85% cocoa)
The diet has been criticised for failing to provide any long-term benefits
    Source: Healthline
Back in October, Adele joked that she 'used to cry but now I sweat' in an Instagram post, as details of her overhauled fitness regime emerged.
It's understood that her huge transformation has been a result of reformer pilates, using weights in the gym, cutting down on sugar and also following The Sirtfood Diet.
The regime focuses on plant foods, such as kale and buckwheat - which help to suppress appetite and activate the body's 'skinny gene'.
The diet's creators claim that following the Sirtfood Diet will lead to rapid weight loss, all while maintaining muscle mass and protecting you from chronic disease.
Followers of the diet go through two diet cycles that last for three weeks - following specific recipes and plans - and they are then encouraged to continue adding as many sirtfoods as possible into their food.
However, Healthline report that although the low-calorie diet may kick-start weight loss, it is too short to have a long-term impact on health.
Speaking in June, sources claimed Adele's her new workout regime had given the vocal talent a 'new lease of life' following her split from ex-husband Simon Konecki - with whom she shares son Angelo.
Adele confirmed her split from Simon in April 2019 and filed for divorce in September
The vocal powerhouse and Simon first began dating in 2011 and welcomed their son the following year, before tying the knot four years later.
